Fairway Lakes Compliance Sheet

All FWL residents must adhere to the following specifications regarding the mailbox located on your property. Any mailboxes found not in compliance, will be subject to fines.

MAILBOX COLOR
Hunter Green - Semi-gloss. A Rustoleum product will increase the longevity.
* Mailbox and supporting post must match in color.
* Flaking paint, corrosion, and rust must be addressed prior to paint.
* Faded or missing paint, at any time, on the post or mailbox should be addressed immediately.

MAILBOX NUMBERS
Min. height per number = 2.5 inches tall.
Max. height per number = 3 inches tall.
Min. distance of all 4 numbers = 7 inches wide.
Max. distances of all 4 numbers = 8 inches wide.
All numbers must...
* Be gold in color.
* Be one-dimensional (Flat).
* Not have a background color other than Hunter Green.
* Be placed at the same height to align accurately. * Numbers must conform to the font style prescribed for Fairway Lakes.

MAILBOX FLAG
Mailbox flag must be gold.
Mailbox flag must be functional.

MAILBOX DOOR
Door must be capable of staying in the closed position without aids such as tape, adhesive, rubber bands, bungy cords, etc.

MAILBOX/POST POSITION
New mailboxes should be installed at a height of 41–45 inches from the road surface to the bottom of the mailbox or point of mail entry. Mailboxes should be set back 6–8 inches from the front face of the curb or road edge to the mailbox door. See attached “Appendix A”. The mailbox installed by your builder is the only approved box and post. Any replacements must mirror the original design. If unsure contact Fairway Management.

Mailbox condition, including physical, operational condition of the box and all supporting structures, and the District Standard color for the mailbox and the identifying numbers for the home address, are a Homeowner Responsibility. Companies are available to assist you with this deed-restricted community responsibility. A couple are listed below….

Fairway Lakes Mailbox Guidelines

It is every homeowner’s responsibility to maintain their mailbox and post in good condition and in working order.

Condition:

No rust or corrosion
No missing, flaking, peeling, patchy or faded paint
Do not paint over flaking or peeling paint, must be a smooth surface Flag must be operational and gold in color
Mailbox and post must be correct color: Rustoleum Hunter Green, Semi-Gloss Numbers must be clearly visible, gold in color and correct font and size. Numbers must be purchased from one of the companies listed below.
