Fairway Fun and Family Friendly

A few notes concerning Hurricane Irma and Fairway Lakes:

- No major damage was reported

- Some street lights suffered minor damage and are being repaired

- Cleanup continues around the community, damaged landscaping is being repaired where possible and replaced as necessary.

- The drainage system did work properly during the hurricane.

- None of the storm drains were backed by excess debris up as they all flowed back into the lake as designed.

- The storm drains all functioned as designed.  Although there was street flooding it was because of the height of the lakes.  The system is designed to flow back into the streets instead of continuing to fill up the lakes and potentially flood a home.

- Fairway Management monitored the water levels to ensure that they receded properly.

- Fairway Lakes is the end of the gravity fed lake system so our lakes will always be the last drain down after a storm, but all lakes are showing that they have receded properly.
